The Democratic Republic of Congo contains many languages. This includes: Kikongo, Lingala, Tshiluba, Swahili, and French. French is the official language and universal within the country. In Congo, there are a large, growing amount of Christian denomination, such as the Kimbanguist Church with 6 million Christians. Congo's music is called "musique Zairoise" and is important to the Congolese. They have art festivals with homemade instruments and medias within Goma. A remarkable one would be Benda Bilili.
I feel that the Democratic Republic of Congo is highly interesting. It is a diverse country with widely expanded areas of culture and history. I was surprised about the hearths about the music and dance that is so important to their lives.
It connects with the country, because it appears as if everything is connected, intertwined with each attribute and aspect. Congo is bound by religion, sports, arts, music, language and many more components. That being said, they are the foundations of this country's individuality. It allows the Democratic Republic of Congo to firmly express itself.
